Library :

The Library of this college, just like the institution itself, has a rich and colourful heritage. Initially that library enjoyed patronage of Royal Family of CoochBehar. After the take over of the college by the Government of West Bengal the library was enriched through government assistance. The library has a separate two-storied building with almost 2500 sq.ft. area in each floor and has a collection of around 55,000 books.

 

Reading Room :

The oldest College Library of North Bengal provides two separate Reading Rooms , one for students and another for Reference Sections.

 

Reference and Journal Section :

The archival collection of Journal includes Journal of Science (1919), Indian Law Reports(1905), Mind (1919), The Hubbert Journal(1912 – 1936), The Calcutta Review (1951), The American Review (1959 – 1964), Bengal Past and Present (1969) etc. The rare book collection includes History of Hindu Mathematics (1935), The Scared Books of East (1897) etc. Presently the library is subscribing various relevant journals on Humanities and Science. Total list of reference books extends 10,000 in this library.

 

Borrowing Section :

More than 40,000 books are already enlisted in this section. Text Books and Reference books covering various topics taught in this college enrich the diversity of collection.

 

Library Hour :

All the library facilities are available from 10.30am to 4.30pm [1.45pm to 2.15pm: recess] on all weekdays [except vacations]
